Heyday

Workplace services, at your fingertips.

Appcom designed the Heyday app to bring workplace services together in a single mobile experience. Room booking, service requests, food and beverage, and building access: users find the features they need every day right on their phone.

Context

One building, many services.

Heyday buildings offer their occupants move-in-ready offices, bookable amenities and food and beverage services. Each of these services had its own rules, depending on the location, the amenity and the user's profile.

The constraint Bring a wide range of uses together in one coherent journey, taking into account booking rules, available services and users' access rights.
One experience

Everyday needs in one place.

Bookings Conference rooms and other amenities booked by time slot, with a summary and manager approval when needed.
Service requests A two-step request, sent to the Heyday team or to building services and tracked through to confirmation.
Food and beverage Food and drinks ordered from the on-site merchants, directly from the app.
Building access The phone becomes the access key through the HID Origo and DataWatch integration, according to each user's rights.

Mandate

One journey for many uses.

The app was designed to bring these uses together, from the home screen to the confirmation of a booking or a request. The home screen lets users track and manage their upcoming bookings and gives access to the main actions: order, request a service, book an amenity.

The mobile experience also had to build on existing management tools and systems, from booking approval to building access control.

What we did

Journeys connected to operations.

We designed and developed the Heyday iOS and Android apps. Users can view their upcoming bookings, choose a space and a time slot, request a service, and find their messages and receipts in one place.

Some amenities require a manager's approval. The booking then stays pending until it is confirmed: payment and the receipt follow acceptance, and a notification informs the user of the decision.

A home screen for tracking and managing upcoming bookings, leading directly to the main actions. Amenity booking by time slot, with a summary of the location, space and time before confirmation. Bookings subject to approval, flagged in the list and cancellable free of charge while pending. A two-step service request, sent to the Heyday team or building services. Food and drink ordering from on-site vendors. Messages from the Heyday team and receipts showing the status of each payment.

For access, the HID Origo and DataWatch integration lets users use their phone with compatible equipment, based on the rights assigned to each user. These rights remain managed by the building's access control system.

What the solution brings together

The workplace, in a single app.

Services brought together Bookings, service requests, food and beverage, messages and building access are combined in a single app, designed for the daily lives of Heyday building occupants.
Connected journeys Some bookings require a manager's approval, and payment follows acceptance. Mobile access relies on compatible equipment and on the rights assigned to each user.
