Bringing virtual try-on to life, from web to mobile.

Appcom supported SpreeAI in developing digital experiences that let people try on clothes virtually. Demo apps, SDKs and web interfaces connect the AI technology to the journey of users and partner brands.

Context

A technology to make tangible.

SpreeAI develops virtual try-on technology for fashion brands and retailers. Its platform lets shoppers see clothes on themselves and get size recommendations, right within a digital shopping experience.

The challenge Make virtual try-on easy to understand and easy to integrate: guide photo capture, connect the browser and the phone, respect each brand's identity and keep pace with the product's evolution.
The challenges

One journey, four requirements.

Guide photo capture Clear instructions on position, distance and lighting before starting the try-on.
Connect the platforms A seamless journey between the browser and the phone.
Respect each brand A demo interface adapted to partners' logos, colours and buttons.
Support the evolution Interfaces and integrations that grow with SpreeAI's teams.

Mandate

Turning a technology into experiences.

Turn a virtual try-on technology into concrete experiences that are easy to understand and integrate. Appcom contributed to the brand website, the Protea and SpreeAI demo apps, and the web and mobile interfaces and SDKs used in the try-on journey.

The try-on and size recommendation technology belongs to SpreeAI. Appcom's work focused on the experiences, interfaces and integrations that put it in the hands of users and partners.

What we did

Try-on experiences, from web to mobile.

Capture interfaces guide the user in real time. The experience covers sign-in, photo capture, browsing try-ons and displaying size recommendations.

The Protea app simulates an e-commerce environment. Its look can be customized for each brand to demonstrate the SDK in a familiar context. The SDKs let partners integrate the try-on journey into their apps and websites, and deep links connect mobile capture to the web experience.

Real-time guided photo capture, with instructions on position, distance and lighting. A complete journey: sign-in, capture, viewing try-ons and size guidance. The Protea demo app, whose look adapts to each brand's logos, colours and buttons. Web, iOS and Android SDKs to integrate try-on into partners' sites and apps. Deep links that keep the experience continuous between mobile capture and the web. A Shopify app that brings try-on into the merchant journey, with product synchronization, plan management and analytics.

Appcom delivered a responsive marketing site in React, with a content management system. Work also continued on the Shopify app, which brings try-on into the merchant journey and offers product synchronization, plan management and analytics tools.

Project milestones

Concrete experiences to showcase the technology.

SpreeAI has concrete demo and integration experiences to present its technology to partners. The collaboration spans the move from concept to working interfaces, and their evolution as the product grows.

A tangible demonstration After a proof of concept, the first version of Protea ships in April 2024: a demo store, customizable to each brand, to present the SDK to partners.
A multi-platform journey Documented web, iOS and Android SDKs and deep links connect mobile capture to the web experience. A standalone SpreeAI app follows in January 2025.
Try-on at the merchants In October 2026, the Shopify app's new features go into production: try-on in the merchant journey, product synchronization, plans and analytics.
